Types of Body Contouring Treatments

Fat Reduction Treatments

Reduce stubborn fat deposits without surgery. Ideal for targeting localized fat that resists diet and exercise.

CoolSculpting®

This technique uses cryolipolysis (controlled cooling) to freeze and permanently eliminate fat cells. It’s best for pinchable fat in areas like the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or upper arms.

Vanquish

This method uses radiofrequency energy to heat and destroy fat cells over a larger area. It typically works well for abdominal fat or inner and outer thighs.

Skin Tightening Technologies

Improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of dimpling.

Profound SQ®

This procedure combines microneedling and radiofrequency to tighten and smooth the skin. It helps stimulate the body’s natural healing process, boosting collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production.

Muscle Enhancement

Strengthen and tone muscles while reducing fat.

EMSCULPT®

This treatment delivers high-intensity electromagnetic energy to the muscle beneath problem areas, inducing muscle contractions. The procedure essentially gives the muscles a “workout,” helping improve muscle tone and definition.

Who is a Good Candidate for Body Contouring?

Scheduling an initial consultation is the best way to know whether body contouring is right for you. In general, you may be a good candidate if:

  • You are close to your ideal weight – body contouring is not a weight loss solution but a way to refine your shape.
  • You have specific problem areas – such as resistant fat deposits, skin laxity, or uneven contours.
  • You maintain good overall health – a healthy immune system supports better healing and outcomes.
  • You have realistic expectations – treatments improve and define shape but are not a “quick fix.”

Body contouring may not be suitable if:

  • You have significant weight to lose – it works best once you’re near your goal weight.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding – treatments should be postponed during this time.
  • You have certain medical conditions – such as uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune issues, or circulation problems.
  • You are seeking an instant solution – results develop gradually and require healthy lifestyle maintenance.

Considering Surgical Body Contouring?

For patients looking for more dramatic, lasting results, surgical body contouring such as fat transfers or liposuction may be the right choice. Learn more about surgical body procedures at ICLS.
