Pregnancy, hormonal changes, and aging can all contribute to cosmetic and functional changes of the vagina and vulva. These changes may include sagging vulvar tissue, elongated labia, loose muscle tone of the vagina, and sexual dysfunction.

Hyaluronic acid is a form of injectable that is used in the labia majora (outer lips) of the vagina to gently improve volume loss and give a more youthful appearance to the tissues. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is found within the body. It holds 1000x its weight in water. When the filler is injected into the skin, water is drawn to the site of injection to gently improve volume.

Women looking to rejuvenate their vaginal area can benefit from Votiva. With the use of the latest technology in radio frequency, we are able to improve the tone and texture of the vulva and the tightness of the internal vaginal vault. Another option is ThermiVa® where radiofrequency creates a controlled heat, and slowly delivers energy to those delicate tissues and stimulates collagen over time. Beyond the tightening, women experience better lubrication (less friction), improvement with stress incontinence and an overall smoother appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does Votiva work?

Votiva uses FormaV and FractoraV technologies to address the internal and external areas of discomfort or concern. FormaV does gentle thermal tissue remodeling (internal and external) and FractoraV uses Fractional radio-frequency to  obtain contraction (external). We will design a treatment plan for each patient which will include one or both of these methods.

  • Does vaginal rejuvenation hurt?

Most women tolerate non-surgical techniques such as Votiva or ThermiVa well, reporting warmth, not discomfort. Afterwards the area may be slightly red, swollen and tender, which can last anywhere from 2-12  hours.

  • How much does vaginal rejuvenation cost?

Votiva is recommended as a series of treatments. Pricing begins at $1,200. For more information contact our office to speak with one of our patient coordinators.
