Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

September 1, 2010ICLS0Categories: Breast, Home

A mastopexy, also known as a breast lift, can give women an increased boost of confidence by correcting the shape, contour and nipple position to restore and rejuvenate the breasts and give them a more youthful appearance. Women who have gone through multiple pregnancies are excellent candidates for a mastopexy, as the toll of a pregnancy, breast feeding and aging can cause a ptosis in the breasts, leaving them in a drooped position. Women who desire larger breasts proportioned to their bodies are better candidates for a breast augmentation which can also include a mastopexy.

Depending on the individual and the condition of the breasts, there are different incisions (benelli/lollipop) to provide the best surgical results for the patient. The type of incision along with the risks and costs will be determined at the consultation appointment. To arrange a consultation please call 905-842-2262.

Surgical procedures cannot offer permanent results; age and fluctuations in weight can cause the skin to be lax again.  By choosing a qualified plastic surgeon and clinic, patients can receive the latest care and technique the industry has to offer to provide longer lasting results than those of a cosmetic surgeon. If you have questions about a surgeon’s credentials, be sure to ask.
