On March 28th at 8:30 PM, my entire world changed. My daughter Rachel, gave birth to Evelyn Hunter Gray, weighing 8 lbs, 9 oz, with dark, thick hair and lips that even Angelina Jolie would envy. I couldn’t be happier, and am preparing myself for many years of spoiling ahead. For those of you who know my daughter Rachel, she is doing very well and has traded her desk and PC in for a change table and stroller.
I joked the other day with my husband Paul, that since I became a Nana, my eyesight has decreased by at least 20% and my memory by 70%….”what was I saying”…oh yes, I remember. It sounds like I’m being ridiculous, but I seriously, since turning 50, have noticed changes in my body, skin, hair and senses that I’m going to battle every step of the way. They say, “age gracefully”, but I’m not going down without a fight! I’ve found that my skin is dull, dry and lifeless. For this reason, I swear by my Clarisonic Cleansing Brush with the A.G.E. Blemish and Age cleanser by SkinCeuticals. I also can’t do without my St. Tropez Gradual Tan plus Anti-Aging Face moisturizer, for some much needed colour. I use a Retinol by SkinMedica, every 2-3 nights and then to make my eyes pop, I always use Latisse® for long, luscious lashes and top them off with Blinc Kiss Me Mascara for all of its many benefits. I secretly think this is where the handle “Glam-ma” came from!
As much as I love being a Nana, I never will give into looking like one, so here’s to “Glam-mas” everywhere!
