We were so saddened to hear that one of our own was going to be leaving us. At ICLS we have so many staff members that have been here 5, 10, 15 and almost 20 years! So when someone tells us they are leaving we are instantly shocked! Now you may have noticed that there appears to be something in the water these days with bellies popping left, right and center! Currently Roxanne, Ginny and Stephanie are all on maternity leave, with myself (Rachel) leaving at the end of February ;). All we can say is poor Dr. Sapra and Dr. Khanna. But these things do happen, and we have been fortunate enough to find new members of our team who have been absolutely amazing and will offer a fresh take and perspective.
We wanted to take a moment to offer our well wishes to Desiree who has just recently left us at the end of last week. It seems like just yesterday we were all sharing in the joy of her engagement to her future husband. Below is a picture of some of our ICLS ladies; Carmen (Clinical Research Coordinator), Desiree and Lorraine (Skin Spa Nurse Laser Specialist) looking absolutely gorgeous at a “White Party” they attended.
As sad as we are to lose her, the further pursuit of education is something we wholeheartedly support and encourage. Desiree has been with ICLS for many years now as a dedicated Dermatology nurse. She worked extremely closely with Dr. Sapra, and our patients came to not only know her, but also love her! With the most infectiously positive attitude it seemed like there was nothing that could shake this gal.
Desiree will be getting married later this year and we couldn’t be happier for her. She is also going to be going back to school shortly thereafter. Working at ICLS Desiree had a very close relationship with our Clinical Trials department. Whether it was a study for acne or eczema, she always had a keen interest. As a nurse Desiree already possesses many of the skillsets that are needed in Clinical Research. However, the Michner Institute in Toronto offers a very lucrative clinical research associate diploma that Desiree intends on taking. We wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors and hope to see and hear from her very soon!
