Acne Scarring Treatment

There are a number of different treatment options available including the use of chemical peels/microdermabrasion to fix pigmentation changes and the use of surgery, skin fillers, and laser treatments to rid the body of scarring. BLU-U (blue light) can be used to kill the bacteria causing acne in moderate cases, while a SMOOTHBEAM laser is an excellent way to help patients suffering from oily, acne prone skin.

Brown Age Spot Treatment

These spots are treated by the Q-Switch Yag laser which works by targeting the abnormal concentrations of melanin in the skin and removing it by emitting short pulses of light energy.

Electrocautery

This is the process of destroying tissue with electricity and it is an effective treatment for the removal of skin tags to cysts.

Chemical Peels

A solution is applied to areas of the skin to cause an even, controlled shedding of several layers of damaged cells; leaving one with a new fresh layer of skin and it is used to treat various skin conditions from wrinkles to mild scarring/acne.

CO2 Laser Resurfacing

This laser (the “laser peel”) works to remove the damaged layers of skin and expose a smoother surface and is used to treat acne scarring, to reduce signs of aging; with a final result of smoother, more youthful skin.

Cryotherapy

This involves the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal and diseased tissue and it is used for the treatment of various conditions from warts and skin tags to small skin cancers.

Facial Blood Vessels

Various laser (COOLGLIDE) and light pulse techniques (IPL fotofacials) can be used in the treatment of this problem and allow the vessels to be treated without damaging the skin.

Hair Removal

Laser Hair removal can result in a significant decrease in the amount of hair. The LIGHTSHEER Laser is the most effective in treating razor/shave bumps.

Hypertrophic Scars

These are the thick red scars that occur at the site of an injury or surgery which when treated with a V-STAR Laser one will see significant improvement in these scars.

Mole/Skin Tag Removal

The removal of these benign lesions can occur using a variety of methods from having them simply shaved off to using liquid nitrogen to cauterizing them.

Tattoo Removal

This process takes a great deal of patience and technology and can be painful. Local freezing is used to numb the tattoo area and then laser light is used to break up the tattoo.

Cellulite Reduction

VELASMOOTH is a technology that reduces cellulite. The process works by increasing the heat of the cells which in turn increases the metabolism of stored energy which reduces the size of the fat chamber and results in a smooth appearance of the skin.

Wart Removal

These are skin growths caused by viral infections. There are a number of ways to treat them from naturopathic remedies to topical agents to liquid nitrogen to laser treatment.
