Skin Tag Removal

Skin tags are generally benign lesions that you may wish to remove for cosmetic reasons. They may interfere with the wearing of eyeglasses, jewellery or possibly bleed when shaving. Skin tags are usually flesh coloured and are a result of the repeated rubbing of skin. These benign skin lesions can appear where clothing rubs the skin (underarms, groin, neck, chest).

A topical numbing cream is normally applied 1 hour prior to treatment and can often be removed using liquid nitrogen or by cauterizing them. Larger skin tags may need to be removed using the “shave” technique.

To find out if skin tag removal is right for you, please contact our knowledgeable staff at our Oakville office, between Hamilton and Toronto, Ontario for your complimentary consultation. Dr. Sapra and our nursing staff will be able to provide you with all of the information you need to make the most informed decision.
