Pixel Laser

Many patients struggle with the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture. Pixel^™ is a great option for patients wishing to improve the overall texture and tone of their skin. Pixel^™ is a form of fractional resurfacing which gradually and over time, stimulates the replacement of aged and photo–damaged skin. It is used for fine lines, acne scarring, rough skin texture and hyperpigmentation. It is based on the principle of microthermal treatment zones, while cause damage, and ultimately stimulation to some areas, while leaving other areas of tissue completely intact. It is most often performed in conjunction with IPL™ to address overall skin tone and sun damage.

The laser pulse creates tiny ablative zones, triggering the body’s natural healing process, therefore stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin tissue. The benefit of fractional based therapies is being able to achieve similar results to overall resurfacing (removing full upper layers of skin), but with much less downtime. Pixel^™ can also be performed using different levels of treatment, which allows us to tailor the depth and associated downtime.

The laser will pass over either the full face or just specific areas on the face or body. You will then be sent home with ice packs to aid in the healing process. Appointments are normally booked 4 weeks apart with patients often requiring 4–5 treatments.
