SkinTx

SkinTX treatment System represents a new generation in skin restoration. It is a physician–prescribed daily system that is effective in significantly lightening melasma, hyperpigmentation, freckles and brown spots. Patients who cannot accommodate the downtime of laser or afford much time off from work may benefit from the SkinTX program. SkinTX is indicated for all skin types and can be used to treat a wide variety of indications. Darker skinned patients who are not candidates for laser treatment will also benefit from the use of SkinTX.

Nurse Injector

At the Institute of Cosmetic and Laser Surgery we only have extremely knowledgeable and extensively trained nurse injectors who perform various types of injectables including Botox, Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Voluma and Selphyl. Our Nurse Injectors have travelled all over the world learning all of the newest techniques from the very best physicians in the industry.

Accredited

The Institute of Cosmetic and Laser Surgery is a fully accredited facility, which means that the clinic has to uphold the same medical and safety standards as those found in the hospital. Facility accreditation is not required in Ontario, and is often considered quite rare. Dr. Khanna also holds special hospital privileges at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Cohesive Silicone Gel Implants

Virtually all breast implants are made of a round or shaped silicone elastomer (rubber) shell, and are filled with either saline (salt water) or silicone. Cohesive gel silicone implants have been designed to give the most natural look and feel to the breast. They are ideal for providing a breast augmentation to increase cleavage and breast size without producing undesirable and unnatural upper breast fullness. Cohesive gel implants have been in use in Europe since 1995. Dr. Khanna has had extensive experience with cohesive gel implants and has played an instrumental role in achieving the approval for silicone implants initially in 1999, and was the first Plastic Surgeon to gain approval for their use in Canada.

Cohesive gel implants are silicone implants that have an additive in them which makes them superior to the former standard liquid silicone implants. If you cut into a standard silicone implant, the liquid silicone gel escapes from the implant shell. In contrast, when you cut into a cohesive gel implant, the implant itself maintains its shape and integrity much like cutting into a “gummy bear.”

Because breast augmentation with cohesive gel implants is designed to focus more on proportions and dimensions rather than volume, it is particularly useful for women who are looking for a natural–shaped and proportionate–sized breast augmentation.

Ptotic

Ptotic breasts refers to the drooping or sagging of the breasts. Ptosis can be caused by the natural aging process, weight loss, hormone changes or pregnancy or breast feeding.

TCA Peels

TCA stands for trichloroacetic acid peels and specifically benefit patients who are looking to correct epidermal hyperpigmentation, environmentally damaged skin, acne or acne scarring. This peel will also help to minimize fine lines, soften rough looking skin, and promote new re-growth of cells. They can also be used to repair mild tears in the earlobes.
