I would like to take this opportunity to write about something that is really important to all of our staff here at ICLS. It is very common to refer to each other as our ICLS “family.” I think we sometimes take for granted our two amazing doctors and our clinic director Karen. 17 years ago they created an environment of unyielding support, friendship, positivity and warmth that has continued into 2012.
At our cosmetic surgery clinic patients will often say things like, “you guys have a great team; everyone is always smiling and you all have such similar personalities!” Well I’ll have you know that this is no fluke. Our amazing staff is hired at ICLS because they share the same values, have a great positive attitude and learn to be the best at what they do. Our ICLS team also happens to get together on the weekends, so if they can demonstrate a really awesome dance move, that might gain them points too!
We also take what we do extremely seriously, and make changes in our office based on patient feedback. We know that by paying attention to the people who are most important to us is the only way to progress. And that is our unofficial motto: “Never be satisfied with the status quo. Always strive to be even better.”
And Dr. Sapra, our dermatologist is our greatest role model! In order to accommodate his medical OHIP patients, he sees a great deal of patients every single day. However, back in early 2011 when he received feedback that he was being too quick during these appointments, he told all of our ICLS staff that he was a changed man! He said he was going to find a way to continue seeing this high volume of patients, but would make some changes to ensure that all of his patients leave feeling like they are on the road to looking better as well as happy with the time they have spent at ICLS. So while he still says he doesn’t know what he would do without his nurses, sometimes taking that extra minute to ensure that patients have all their questions answered can make a big difference! And this is just one example of how a great attitude has allowed ICLS to grow from a small office with one nurse, one receptionist and one laser, to the facility it is today!
If you have been a patient of ICLS we sincerely appreciate your feedback, so please feel free to write a review on Facebook.
