It seems as though biking fever is spreading rapidly throughout ICLS. In the last week of September, Dr. Khanna and her son joined the appropriately named team “The Spin Doctors” in the Tour De Halton. The Tour De Halton is a charity bike ride within the Halton region. It welcomed riders of all ages and abilities with the singular goal of raising funds for the new Oakville hospital. Dr. Khanna has always held special hospital privileges at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and therefore has had great involvement over the years in fundraising events.

The event was a tremendous success and helped to raise just over $110,000 for the new Oakville Hospital. An extraordinary feat indeed! As though this fact wasn’t impressive enough, we were astounded to hear that 2011 was the first year of the event. A huge congratulations goes out to everyone who participated, to co-chairs Jeff and Bonnie Flemington and their volunteers for making the event such an extraordinary success.
