Portugal – Not for the Faint of Heart

ICLS’ Doctors Bike Trip to Portugal

Dermatologist Dr. Sheetal Sapra and female plastic surgeon Dr. Julie Khanna just got back from Portugal and we are doing all we can to avoid blurting out: “jeaaaaalous!” at the top of our lungs. It is no secret that Dr. Khanna and Dr. Sapra work incredibly hard, and the time that they are able to sneak away is well deserved. So when they took some time off to go on holiday with their friends, we all assumed that they would be spending the week on a beach relaxing as the sun came down. Little do we know…

Dr. Khanna and Dr. Sapra spent the week braving up hill climbs on a biking trip. They would wake up bright and early to ride for about fifty kilometers each day! Although this may not sound like the kind of cruel and unusual punishment anyone would want to subject themselves to while on a vacation; they assured us that the trip had a healthy injection of leisure as well. The beauty of the trip was that they determined their own agenda. And in the world of ICLS we know that creating their own agendas is not something they’re used to. But luckily on “vacation” and I use that term loosely, they would stop if they wanted to take photos in a field or if they found a restaurant worth having a nibble in. They also had the luxury of ending up in a different city every night. So I guess it really was a holiday overall. Welcome home Dr. Sapra and Dr. Khanna! We’ve also included some photos of their adventure. Please feel free to shout: “jeaaaaaalous!” at the screen at any time. In fact, we wholly encourage it.
