Earlobe Repair & Eye Lift (Blepharoplasty)

Julie Khanna MD, FRCSC, Plastic Surgeon

Wearing heavy gauged earrings along with the natural aging process can make our earlobes stretched or even torn. With a simple operation under local anesthetic, Dr. Khanna can repair the damaged earlobe by attaching and suturing it with healthy skin on the inside of the damaged earlobe. If the tear is not too large, TCA solution may also reduce the size of the piercing.

If droopy eyes caused by aging are of concern to you then an eye lift may be beneficial. This procedure typically involves removing excess skin, and muscle from the upper and lower eye lids.  The benefits to undergoing an eye lift can be a refreshed, more youthful appearance. This procedure can sometimes be done under local anesthetic but usually is performed under general anesthetic

All surgery comes with risks, so it is important for all patients seeking cosmetic surgery to ensure that the surgeon they choose is qualified to do the procedures and has privileges both in a hospital setting or a private clinic. Also have them clearly explain any possible complications that can arise during or after the procedure.
